Towards the end of my mother’s decline, I told her I had a surprise for her and she asked the whole way to the concert 🎶, “Where are you taking me❓”
She loved Yanni the famous worldwide musical composer and pianist 🎹. Did you know that he lives in Palm Beach Florida? Anywho, a friend of a friend gave me backstage passes for the meet and greet. 🤝 My mother was overjoyed with the concert and towards the end she was fading and kept saying, “Let’s go, it’s time to go.”
Often it’s not just the person dealing with dementia it’s everyone around them dealing with it too.🎗️ A mother and daughter sat next to us and we struck up a conversation. Her daughter was in an orchestra and they had one backstage pass but both really wanted to go. 🎟️ The mother was going to just let her daughter go backstage as mothers often sacrifice for their children. 👩👧
I told her, “Tonight is your lucky night!” 🍀 “Why is that?” she asked. I said, “Because my mother is ready to leave and I’m going to keep one of our backstage passes as a souvenir and give you the other one.” She was overcome and literally began to sob. 😭 “You are an angel!” she exclaimed. Often acts of kindness go unseen, but will always be our way of life. 😇
Inside the mother, feminine, goddess energy and Earth/Gaia lies great strength and humility.🧜♀️Stay in the flow of that ⛵ and know that nothing is against you, rather everything is working out for you as the highest and best in the greater scheme of all that is. 🙌
