I grew up across the street from a kind boy named James 👦. He would go on to be a great business man like his father who was a local CPA and investment counselor. James married a striking blonde haired, blue-eyed litigator👱♀️, so clearly divorce would have been a nuclear option! He went on to specialize and enjoy taking over failing businesses 📉 for 10 cents on the dollar and turning them around (think Marcus Lemonis star of the TV show The Profit).
James found a floundering business in Florida that once did a million dollars a month 💰💰 and was now doing just a million a year 💰. The CEO had been through a pirate fight with business partners and was on the losing end of a gut-wrenching divorce 💔. The mansion and the exotic cars 🏎️ were now gone and Frank the CEO was now living in a small apartment. James and Frank struck a deal and James was ecstatic 🤩.
After a handshake, Frank said, “There’s one more thing!” The blood ran out of James’s face🫤… with that tell he would have been a lousy poker player! Frank said, “I can’t keep Buster my dog 🐕 in this small apartment, so I want you to take him.” Ugh! was James’ thought, explaining this to his wife would be dreadful.
James wanted the deal so bad he reluctantly agreed to take Buster 👍🐕, spare collars, leashes, food, meds, all of it! He wasn’t out of the parking lot before calling his wife and explaining how he acquired Buster. Jame’s wife said, “Oh James, no one gives away a gooddog!” 🫣
Now before you fire off an email to me, just know I am only telling the story. I found it amusing and yes James still has the dog and yes he turned the business around! 📈
