I live in a modest home in the oldest highend neighborhood in our county. We’re next to the largest hospital in the area so there’s never a dull moment or a silence near the intersection of our home .
The other day it was dead silent as in eerily so only the sound of helicopters overhead . Weird. Then there was a knock on my front door. Was it a solicitor? Someone coming to harm me? or that positive thinking book I just ordered from Amazon? Nope.
This knocking got progressively louder and that could only lead to one thing. I opened the door to an armed detective and his female partner. They wanted to see our ring 〇 camera footage because the bank across the street was robbed. I told them that only my girlfriend who installed them knew how to access them. I got his card and told him we’d call him ︎ either way, whether we see anything or not.
Now this bank is a half mile from the police station and the downtown office of the FBI . So if I were to rob a bank, it would not be this one! What is the moral of this story? That everyone plays a role in this entertaining movie of our lives ; the bankers, the cops and robbers and yes the helicopter pilot too! What will be your new role in 2026?
