In the USA, one of the largest liquor store chains has this printed on the outside of the building.🏪 Now I’m not a prude by any means. We did teenage drinking back in the day, fake IDs,🪪 experimented with substances and our college fraternity parties literally reenacted the movie Animal House!🤪🏚️ But over time, you pull the boat throttles back a bit and come to your senses!
It’s fine to have a glass of wine with dinner or a beer at the ballpark, even an airplane portion of a mixed drink on a flight to nowhere ✈️ – but for the folks that can’t seem to stop at one, it can be a real, often tragic and sometimes lifelong struggle.😣
My own father was a high functioning alcoholic and my brother overdosed in our family home. 💊 I have witnessed tragedy both personally and I hear it daily with clients.😔
So enjoy the occasional sip of your favorite beverage as long as someone else is driving. 🚷🚗 But please know that folks that imbibe too much, often wind up taking on Spirits😱 (and not the good ones) and this can lead to losses in the game of life and come between our loved one’s, work/jobs/career, friends and even involve law enforcement!
Do your best to enjoy life and sample a bit of everything from Life’s buffet,🙂when it’s safe and comfortable to do so, but proceed with caution in this arena and as the saying goes “celebrate responsibly.”👍
