When she sent us the video and spelled it St. Paddy’s Day, we got to wondering which one was correct St. Patty’s or St. Paddy’s. So here’s the answer… “for the correct abbreviation for St. Patrick’s Day is “St. Paddy’s Day,” not “St. Patty’s Day,” as “Paddy” is the shortened form of the Irish name “Padraig” which is the Gaelic name for Patrick.”
