Mystic Fish (aka Mighty Mouse) is a boy calico cat of which only one in 3,000 are males! He showed up behind our home one night and was about the size of both your hands . Of course I had to hear from the girlfriend, “We can’t just leave him outside.” ugh.
He has now become one of my favorites . A rebel and a wrangler of other cats that follows me room to room like a dog. For 2 years he’s yet to make an appearance when I’m on live video calls , but this last week he was in my YouTube video and live on our year-end Zoom event! I believe they have magical powers and can diffuse the negative . They are not of this world!
To say he’s a picky eater is an understatement . Kibble, tuna , sardines, salmon… for a shot of cool whip he’ll ride the refrigerator door ⍈ along with whatever we’re trying to eat for dinner on any given day.
One day I had two beef bratwurst in water, in a pot on the stove. I came back to heat them up and found only one . They were about a foot long. There wasn’t a drip or a water trail at the scene of the crime, but later we found the butt end of it near a couch signifying he couldn’t take another bite! Clearly he has a discerning palate and a taste for adventure.
He showed up at dawn in my bedroom the other day dragging a kibble bag bigger than him. The other day he broke into a bag of bagels and ate half of one.
