Heading to LA Fitness to work out every morning is usually a pleasant little ride through Belleair Florida. It is a little town lined with high-end homes, manicured lawns and a golf course winding through it. There are no stop lights, only a 3 way stop sign area .
I was heading up the same blind hill that I travel each morning on a two-lane road with double yellow lines signifying no passing other cars even if they’re creeping below the 25 miles per hour speed limit! As I was going up the hill, there was a giant dark blue pick up truck careening towards me in my lane. He had obviously ignored the no passing rule and was flying past another driver and heading directly towards me.
To my right was the golf course with a foot tall cement curb that I could not veer over. I hit my brakes and braced for impact hoping the air bags would deploy. At the last possible second, ⛐ the driver veered back into his proper lane and passed my car so close I felt the wind and I could see his face of anger.
I sat there for a second gathering my thoughts only to see the local undercover police pickup truck lit up like a Christmas tree racing after him . This wasn’t going to be one of those, “I’ll just give you warning citation” moments for the blue truck driver!
As we edge out this year stay vigilant without the hyper parts, be prepared like the boy scouts all while staying out of this extra festive holiday stress. Do your best to take stock of your many blessings and take advantage of our once a year BOGO sale in the shop now extended for 72 hours!
