It’s clear we’re a nautical bunch and there is even a public dock overlooking the bay waters in our neighborhood. I grew up fishing off the dock and we even used to ride our bikes down the steep hill and right off the dock into the water when we were tweens.
In highschool it was a place where kids snuck off to sneak beers and meet up with girls It’s been through endless changes, hurricanes and a reconstruction. Driving past it every day, I feel like I am the ethereal dock master all these decades later.
The city runs it now and installed wraught iron black fences 皿 and gates and locks to keep the homeless from sleeping on it or worse, (because there’s no bathroom anywhere near it) . The auxiliary police are assigned to open it at dawn and close it at dusk. 9 out of 10 times this is successful.
When the gates are locked and tourists are literally standing and peering through the iron gates admiring the water, I’ll call the recorded line and ask nicely for whomever has the key to come down and open up what is classified as a city park ! And last week the nice young lady on the phone said, “I think they’re having trouble finding the keys.”“Really? Well maybe they need to make spare copies, just a working theory,” I said.
So this is my roundabout nautical way back to saying, your body is 70% water and water is critical to keep us alive and thriving . Water and being in the flow ︎ is also a financial cue to reach abundance.
