When my grandson Hutch was a toddler he’d spring out of bed Ꮺ on Christmas and go around to all the presents under the tree and touch each one with exuberance and a sense of wonder asking mom and dad, “For me?!” If they said yes he would drag those gifts off into a corner knowing they were his!
As for me, on this birthday celebration of mine I have always subscribed to gift giving to others. Generally if there is something I really want, you know the drill, it’s Amazon, Ebay, Walmart or I ask my girlfriend to pick it up for me.
I did ask one of my sweet clients for a tiny bottle of maple syrup since she was going to Vermont. Pictured here is what was dropped off on my doorstep!
Contributing to others and striving to do that takes focus and pressure off of ourselves and surprisingly we feel better. At this stage in life, contributing to others is my highest priority and a form of joy and inner peace ︎ for me. Without the use of drugs or alcohol I never dreamed I would feel this high and blissful all the time. Now I know why the gurus and swamis are smiling and laughing. (*´◡`*)
Honestly it takes some getting used to when you know that your energy, frequency and vibration is pinging off the charts . So what do you do with that energy?… contribute to others any way you can , as often as you can , for as long as you can.
Find the positive and the joy in each year, month, day, hour and moment!
