TGIWednesday: The old man 👨‍🦳 and the decoy

My father was a real outdoorsman and dragged my brother and I all over the globe hunting and fishing! 🦌🎣 He also collected wildlife art and even high end duck decoys 🦆 (yes it’s a thing).

When he met an elderly man who offered to sell him 🦆🦆 2 wooden duck decoys for $2,500 autographed by a famous artist 🖌️, my dad jumped at the opportunity knowing that these decoys were worth about $25,000🤑.

After purchasing them he took them to an authenticator ⭐ who called him to say that they were very good fakes but only worth about $250. 🤬 When my father went back to the original seller to confront the old man, the old man’s friend was there and told the seller, 🗣️“You’ve got to stop doing this and defrauding people!”‼️The old man art seller was about 80 years old… some people just have larceny in their hearts.  The old man took the decoys back and refunded my dad with zero apologies! 💵 🔙

   Hello, I just wanted to share good news with you – I was able to obtain housing for myself and my 4 kitties!  It’s a bedroom with access to kitchen, washer, dryer, garage, yard and wifi.  My pets are all welcome there, and the price is far less than most room rentals in this area.  I consider this a miracle because previously another person had rented a room there, but had cat allergies, so I couldn’t rent the other room.  But the person with allergies changed their mind, and due to my perseverance in asking if the owner knew anyone who had a room, I got the room!  My next expected miracle is full time employment soon!*  Thank you again for your beautiful, kind and generous heart.  ~ Dawn Florida
