Dreading my annual eye exam, I lumbered into my eye doctor’s office and did every test they conjured up. Looking for the ship on the horizon in the screen, puff of air, pictures of my deep inner eyes. Finally I sat in the exam chair and exchanged pleasantries with my stiff English eye doctor.
He moved that bulky giant black mask machine in front of my eyes and I swore as I looked through it, I thought I was going blind. I could barely see black stick figures on a white background. Forget about identifying letters or numbers; what in the world was going on?
He flipped through the little toggles to strengthen my Rx, still nothing! Good heavens, am I going blind? Did I get cataracts walking into the room? Did I pick up energetically on someone else’s vision? Energetically it represents what we don’t want to see. Mystified, I said, “Doc, what in the world is happening here?”
He pulled the giant plastic exam mask away from me and reached for a tissue. Wiping the inside of the lenses on the machine, he quipped in his English accent, “Sometimes the glass fogs up.” Really? How many folks left here with the wrong Rx was my immediate thought?!
Not everything blocking you or causing you weakness is ethereal or even over-thinking, because sometimes it’s a simple answer to your challenges and the simple answers can be right in front of you!
