Did I mean to say “Pennies from Heaven”? Nope, I meant “Turkeys from Kevin.” LOL Kevin, I know it was you!
My brother’s passing was on March 28th years back and he was tall, good looking, smart and funny, but also an addict who left us far too soon! Every time I see a Tom Cruise movie I am reminded of Kevin. He loved teasing and playing “April Fools” jokes on people (and today is April 1st wink, wink ) He’d hide your car keys and then help you look for them with a straight face!
When we were younger we’d go hunting and fishing worldwide with my father whether we wanted to or not! Spring is Turkey hunting season but even I was in awe wittnessing a wild turkey showing up behind our home eating bird seed. The irony is we’re in the city near a 4-way stop light filled with hustle and bustle.
I’ve read that seeing a wild turkey often carries profound spiritual and ethereal symbolism , frequently regarded as a message from the Universe to pause, reflect and recognize the abundance in one’s life. Known in some traditions as the “Earth Eagle,” the wild turkey represents a deep, sacred connection to nature and the grounding energy of the Earth Mother.
So even in spirit, Kevin is reminding me and all of us to stay grounded, Zen like ︎ and rock that attitude of gratitude.

Aloha Jimmy and all, Thought you might find the current events we are having as amiracle and testimony of prayers answered. First we are all safe on our island of Kauai and dodged the 2 big storms that pounded the other islands with heavy flooding, and wind damages.
I cracked a crown on my tooth (eating kettle baked bbq chips) UGH! and was in a bad mood after the receptionist on the phone gave me a hard time to get an emergency visit and started predicting that I might need a root canal. I prayed and did some fishing and boom, she called me back that afternoon to be there in 1/2 hour to see the Dr. I braved the stormy weather and glad I did. It was replaceable with a temporary crown for 2 weeks and no need for a root canal. Mahalo ke Akua!
Then right before the big bad weather, a hopping rooster came into our backyard waiting in the rain. He looked like our Yoshi but was limping. YEP it is Yoshi! Kinda beat up but he has a very distinctive tail and crow. He found his way home after 5 months of nightly prayers! It was last year I told you he was MIA.
